What now in 2020?

After all the build up and preparation for Christmas and then the celebrations for the start of 2020, they’re all over now. Many will already be back at work or education after some time off, or will be preparing to return to work or education in the next few days. But, as I’ve mentioned in a few posts over the Christmas period, Christmas Day may now be over but for Christians everywhere, we continue to celebrate Christ coming to earth every day of the year, as without that event, our lives would be so very different.

I’m glad Christ came to earth to live as one of us, as I know my life would be so different today if I hadn’t given my heart to God many years ago. That hasn’t meant life’s been easy for me, because just like everyone else I’ve faced some really tough times when I considered giving up, but God wouldn’t let me – God still had work for me to do so held onto me, and got me through those days.

Whatever 2020 has in store for me, good or bad, I am assured that God will be with me through each of them, giving me the strength, help and guidance to get through those times. I therefore urge you, at the start of this new year to let go of whatever is preventing you from fulfilling God’s plan for your life, and give God your heart, your life, your all.

God has plans for each one of us, so pray, and ask God ‘What now?’ for you in 2020. God will answer you and show you His plan for you. Believe!

What Now? by Steven Curtis Chapman

I saw the face of Jesus
In a little orphan girl
She was standing in the corner
On the other side of the world
And I heard the voice of Jesus
Gently whisper to my heart
Didn’t you say you wanted to find Me
Well, here I am, here you are

So what now
What will you do now that you’ve found Me?
What now
What will you do with this treasure you’ve found
I know I may not look like what you expected
But if you’ll remember
This is right where I said I would be
You found me, what now?

And I saw the face of Jesus
Down on Sixteenth Avenue
He was sleeping in an old car
While his mom went looking for food
And I heard the voice of Jesus
Gently whisper to my soul
Didn’t you say you wanted to know me
Well, here I am
And it’s getting cold

So what now
What will you do now that you’ve found Me?
What now
What will you do with this treasure you’ve found
I know I may not look like what you expected
But if you’ll remember
This is right where I said I would be
You found me, what now?

 So come and know
Come and know, know me now
Come, come and know, know me now
 Oh, come and know
Come, come and know, know me now
Come, come and know, know me now
