Challenging times

For a while I’m sure we’ve always been concerned about the knife crime and shootings that have been becoming more and more common place in many countries around the world.

In the last few weeks, these worries have almost been forgotten as the Covid-19 virus spreads rapidly, with the number of people infected around the world rocketing, all while the death toll continues to rise.

These are challenging and worrying times for us all, as no-one really knows when the number of cases will start to reduce as we start to get the spread of the virus under control.

So what do we do for now? Well we follow the advice issues to us by our government and health service, particularly when it comes to what we should do to try and prevent us catching/spreading the virus.

The other thing we must do is pray. God continues to answer prayers today, so pray for our world, for our governments and health services to take the correct actions at the correct times so that this deadly virus can run it’s course without the death toll rising too much.

So stay safe, took after your family and your neighbours, and most of all, pray.

There's a lot of pain but a lot more healing
There's a lot of trouble but a lot more peace
There's a lot of hate but a lot more loving
There's a lot of sin but a lot more grace

There's a lot of fear but a lot more freedom
There's a lot of darkness but a lot more light
There's a lot of cloud but a lot more vision
There's a lot of perishing but a lot more life

Oh outrageous grace oh outrageous grace
Love unfurled by heaven's hand
Oh outrageous grace oh outrageous grace
Through my Jesus I can stand

  1. thes are challenging times indeed. I pray for our health authorities that they can find a vaccination that will protect the vulnerable from this virus. I pray for our world that it will recover from the devastation that has already been caused, and has yet to be caused by this virus.
