O love

Yesterday I shared devotions that I shared on Bellshill Salvation Army Band Facebook page and website. In those devotions I mentioned that Procession To Covenant was another one of my favourite Salvation Army band pieces. It is based around the tune of St Margaret and is associated with the the song/hymn by George Matheson:

O love that wilt not let me go,
I rest my weary soul in thee;
I give thee back the life I owe,
that in thine ocean depths its flow
may richer, fuller be.

A couple of years ago during our Sunday worship our officers shared the following video with us. It is by Elaine Hagenberg, and features the same song, but to a new arrangement. I was really touched by the arrangement, as, just like Procession To Covenant, the arrangement seemed to fit perfectly with the the message of the song, that God will never let us go, no matter what.

I pray as you watch this video, you too will be blessed by the words and music, as well as reminded that God will always love you.

  1. So blessed. Our God is amazing. I praise his name for the glorious music he inspires His children to write to honor His name.
    God bless you for sharing His wondrous message each day. X
