Have you ever been asked by someone you know, “Who are you?”. Sometimes we’re asked that when it comes to our relationship with God, when other try to question our beliefs, or even try to test our faith.
When our faith is tested or challenged by others, that’s when we must ask ourselves honestly, “Who am I?” and “Who is God to me?”. If we can answer those to questions honestly, by reiterating that we are Christians, and as such believe in, and trust God to love us always, and also acknowledge that it is because of God we are the people we are today, we can be confident that God is with us always.
I’m sure many of us can look back on our lives and say honestly, that if God hadn’t been with us, we may not be here today.
So we have come to know and to believe the love that God has for us. God is love, and whoever abides in love abides in God, and God abides in him.
1 John 4:16 (ESV)
I ask you tonight, to stop for a moment, and consider this – who is God to you?
