What is important to you? Your family, friends, your job, money, holidays etc.
Sometimes when the things that are important to you face something challenging or something that could impact their future, what do you do?
I would make sure I am as prepared as I can be for whatever that challenging event is – If it’s a situation that a family member or friend is dealing with, I will offer them my support and care, and assure them of my prayers for them.
In thinking about this I realised that it may sound like the only time I path for my friends and family is when they are in a difficult or challenging situation. That couldn’t be further from the truth, as I always try to remember that prayer shouldn’t just be my go-to thing only when those I love and care for, or I, am facing difficult times.
My reminder for you today is just as I’ve said, don’t just pray when something important or challenging lies ahead for you or someone you care for. Instead, just as we’re told in 1 Thessalonians 5:17, “pray without ceasing”.
