I’m sure we all know of people who will only speak to us, or contact us, when they want something from us, or want us to do something. In other words, they only engage with us when they want something in return.
As Christians we should not be selective about who we talk to, as we should treat everyone equally.
I pray that I will always treat everyone the same, regardless of whether they can help me in any way. Those who can do nothing for me, as just as worthy of my attention and my compassion as those who can give me, what to many will seem like, ‘what I need’.
It’s worth reminding ourselves that only God can give us all we need.
