Over the last couple of weeks, I’m sure like me you’ve been shocked and saddened to see the images coming out of Ukraine, and hearing the accounts of some of the Ukrainian’s of how they had to flee from their homes with only what they could carry.
I don’t know about you, but some of those images of have been etched on my mind and in my heart…Did they get to safety? Did they find shelter? Has the man survived ‘going to fight’? Will they ever be re-united with their families? Will their lives ever be the same again?
In the last 2 years we’ve lived with COVID-19, and thought that was bad (which it definitely has been), but this is hardship and suffering on a whole new level. My heart breaks for them. My heart lifts them up in prayer each day. Will you?
Don’t let those horrific images and stories from Ukraine be dismissed from your mind without a second thought. Instead, pray for peace; pray for the people of Ukraine and Russia whose lives have been impacted by this war; pray for our world leaders that they can agree a resolution to this war so that peace can be restored. Pray for Ukraine.
