Moment by moment

Earlier today on Bellshill Salvation Army Band’s Facebook page I shared some devotions. I’d like to share those devotions with you tonight.

Are you a morning person, or would you rather give the morning a miss?

I am definitely not a morning person – I never have been, and I definitely don’t think I ever will be. That said, although I’d still prefer not to have to get up early in a morning, I now do when required without too much resistance, because I know I need to.

When thinking about how much I have always disliked mornings, the first line of a Leonard Ballantine song came to mind.

Getting up each morning
With your sunshine in my heart
Has been the best Lord,
It's been the best!

Whether the sun is shining outside when you get out of bed in the morning or not, we can fill our heart with sunshine every morning by asking God to be part of your day. Praying at the start of the day, gets us into the correct mindset for the day ahead, no matter what challenges we may face, as we can be confident that God will walk with us.

I hope you experience the joy expressed in the Len Ballantyne song ‘Moment by Moment’, as you serve the Lord each day.

Getting up each morning
