Once again I’ve found myself with a melody and words going round my head for the last few days. It kind of fits with some of my thoughts over the last few days, where I’ve been thinking about my purpose, and the reason I live.
In the song below, the words “I live to serve Your Majesty”, have been ‘jumping out’ at me while the melody has been stuck in my head.
King of kings, Majesty God of Heaven living in me Gentle Saviour, closest friend Strong Deliverer, beginning and end All within me falls at Your throne Your Majesty, I can but bow I lay my all before You now In royal robes I don't deserve I live to serve Your Majesty Earth and Heaven worship You Love eternal, Faithful and True Who bought the nations, ransomed souls Brought this sinner near to Your throne All within me cries out in praise. Your majesty, I can but bow I lay my all before You now In royal robes I don't deserve I live to serve Your Majesty Your majesty, I can but bow I lay my all before You now In royal robes I don't deserve I live to serve Your Majesty
Again, I’m questioning myself, and my life – Do ‘I live to serve Your Majesty’? If I’m honest, I would have to answer ‘Not always’ to that question.
In which case I can’t truly sing those word ‘I live to serve Your Majesty’. However I know God accepts me as I am, faults and all, and so I know to live to serve God I must give every part of my life to God so He can help me to live fully for Him.
Do you live to serve God? If not, I encourage you to seek Him today, and ask Him to help you to live your life fully in His service.
