Earlier today on Bellshill Salvation Army Band’s Facebook page I shared some devotions. I’d like to share those devotions with you tonight.
I want to start today by asking you a question – What are you desperate for?
In these days, there are so many desperate for the basics needed to live – food, clothing, shelter. There are many who are also desperate to escape an abusive relationship, need a friend, seek true love, or in need hope for the future.
Let me ask you another question – Are you desperate for God?
It would be fantastic if every person was desperate to experience God’s unconditional love in their lives wouldn’t it?
I live and breathe God; if things aren’t going well, hear this and be happy: Join me in spreading the news; together let’s get the word out.
God met me more than halfway, he freed me from my anxious fears.
Psalm 34:2-4 (The Message)
Some days, may feel as if we are suffocating and desperate for air – as if we are weighed down by the stresses of life. On days full of stress, anxieties and emotion, we need God more than ever. We pray that on those days, we may turn to God to help us find the a place where we can feel His presence allowing us to breathe out stress, and breathe in His peace.
Be desperate for God today, and let Him help you find peace only he can provide.
I hope you find blessing as you listen to ‘Breathe’ by New York Staff Band.
This is the air I breathe This is the air I breathe Your holy presence living in me This is my daily bread This is my daily bread Your very word spoken to me And I, I'm desperate for you And I, I'm lost without you
