Worry is wasting

e’ve all been told numerous times I’m sure, that worrying is bad for our health…but does that make it any easier to stop worrying? No, it definitely does not!

Worrying is just something that seems to be built into our makeup as human beings. It can be difficult to remain positive about the future when we’re experiencing doubt or worry. These are exactly the times we should turn to the bible to find verses about hope or encouraging verses about healing. It’s not easy not to get stressed about what lies ahead in life, as we all need a little reassurance about the future.

Worrying can be easy when we get ourselves worked up about all the what-ifs and worst-case scenarios of what the future may hold. The following verses from Philippians are those I find most reassuring when I’m stressing or worrying about something.

Don’t fret or worry. Instead of worrying, pray. Let petitions and praises shape your worries into prayers, letting God know your concerns. Before you know it, a sense of God’s wholeness, everything coming together for good, will come and settle you down. It’s wonderful what happens when Christ displaces worry at the center of your life.

Philippians 4:6-7 (The Message)

, the Bible can provide some helpful guidance to calm you down during scary times.
