Trust in the Lord

I was on YouTube last week looking for a video of the hymn ‘Trust in the Lord’, when this video came up in my search results.

The world is not in a good way these days – we’re still trying to cope with the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic, ongoing wars, famine, financial poverty, unemployment, prejudices (based on ethnicity, religious beliefs, sexuality…to name but a few), climate change is causing us to experience extremes of weather never seen before – from high winds, to torrential rain storms, to extreme temperatures, not just in places we would normally associate with these weather extremes, but also here in the UK!

The world needs God. The people in this world need hope. They need a God they can trust to give them hope for their future. We must trust in the Lord to the end.

Trust in the Lord with all thine heart and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge Him and He shall direct thy paths.

Proverbs 3:5-6

The world is crumbling at our feet.
The skies are filled with gray.
The Savior’s calling to His sheep,
And He will lead the way.
We know His voice;
We’ve heard it before.
We know the words He says.
He is the light.
We’ll follow Him to the end.

Though fires may burn
