No excuses

How many times have you found when you ask someone for a reason for doing (or not doing something), that they will give you a reason for their mistake? How many of those times have you thought their reason, is simply an excuse?

Excuses often seem to suggest that the person giving them is not put their full effort into doing what they were being asked about. Hence why they feel they need to provide excuses for their mistake.

We all know who Florence Nightingale is and given the circumstances she found herself working in, can possible understand why she didn’t accept excuses from anyone, or indeed make excuses herself – how challenging that must have been!

How noble to go through life without trying to make excuses for anything. But also ives us a challenge to to so the same – After all if Florence Nightingale never gave or accepted excuses, surely we too can do the same!
