Earlier today on Bellshill Salvation Army Band’s Facebook page I shared some devotions. I’d like to share those devotions with you tonight.
Have you every experienced the power of prayer in your life? More specifically the power of others’ prayers, for you?
The knowledge that somebody is praying for you is an awesome feeling, particularly when you’re going through a difficult period in your life. What more could anyone do for you in your hour of need than take time out of their busy life, to pray, just for you!
We all go through times in our lives when we dismiss God from our lives, maybe because we feel he is distant from us, or even that he has abandoned us. But no matter what kind of day I’m having, or what sort of mood I’m in, I can always find some music which lifts my mood or touches my emotions.
There are specific songs which I turn to when I’m at my lowest, and while they don’t necessarily brighten my day, they normally give me the encouragement or reassurance I need at that time. One such song that always makes me think of some of my darkest and toughest days, is, ‘Somebody Prayed For Me’. Whenever I hear it, it reminds me that no matter how alone I may feel, or how difficult I may be finding life, someone is praying for me.
You may be wondering why can I be so sure that someone will be praying for me? Here’s why…

So never think that no-one is praying for you, no matter how alone and forgotten you may feel. God will always find a way to let you know you aren’t forgotten, and that He still cares for you.
