A privilege to trust

How often have you found yourself saying, “There’s nothing we can do but trust God” or “All we can do is trust God”?

Have a read at those statements again, don’t they sound as if trusting God is our last resort, that we’ve tried everything else and they haven’t worked?

Maybe we need to change the way we talk, so that it’s clear we realise that trusting God is the greatest privilege we have, and that trusting Him is not our last resort. It should be an honour for us to say, “No matter what kind of problem I have in my life, I will always trust God!”

God wants to take care of us, but He doesn’t start doing so until we give ourselves over to Him completely, and trust Him for everything instead of trying to ‘get by’ on our own.
