I’m someone who like to be organised and plan my work and my actions. However when I read the following quote on another website recently it made me stop and think.
Small deeds done are better than great deeds planned.
Peter Marshall
I guess my planning is still revenant, as long as I take action regularly. This kind of reminds me of the agile methodology we use at work, where rather than planning a huge project from start to finish and not delivering anything to our customers until we build the full solution, we instead try to deliver small usable bits of functionality often.
But to compare this with the quote I originally shared, my planning is is still relevant as long as I just plan small specific things rather than huge projects that ultimate often don’t deliver what is needed or take much much longer than expected.
