Take care of yourself

Our bodies need exercise, rest and nourishment to ensure we look after our health. If we don’t we can adversely affect not only our physical health but our mental health. The same applies not just to our physical body, but also to our spirit and our soul – They also need us to look after them. if we don’t look after our body, our spirit and our soul, we, as individuals will be less effective at all we do.

Don’t you know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who comes from God and dwells inside of you? You do not own yourself.

I know that when I’m feeling tired or exhausted, my enthusiasm to do my daily devotions, and spend quiet time with God, goes out the window – I find I’m not focused enough to write any devotions or thoughts that will be shared on social media or on a blog.

Good physical health and energy are clearly key to ensuring I function/operate to my best, and so I’m sure I’m not alone in this, so take care of your physical and spiritual well-being every day.
