Better week this week. Still super busy at work especially as this week was end on Sprint, meaning it was Sprint Retrospective and Sprint Planning and Sprint Review week also. Positive feedback this week at Sprint Review, which was little bit of a surprise as we hadn’t managed to achieve our sprint goals for a number of work items – albeit there were very good reasons for this.
So after the busyness of end of sprint/start of new sprint, it’s normally good to have a Friday with few (if any) meetings), meaning I get a change to get on with what I would term ‘real work’. That however wasn’t possible yesterday, as from 9:30 onwards yesterday, it was back to back meetings all day – with barely time to grab a coffee or even get lunch! By the time the last meeting finished yesterday my head for spinning, and although it felt like an extra long day, it kind of felt like it was just the morning, probably just because there had been no time to catch breath between any of the day’s meetings. What an end to the week! On a positive note after my last meeting I enjoyed a chocolate and raspberry muffin and a lovely strong latte!
Out with work, it’s been a fairly quiet week again as my husband is still feeling a bit under the weather. so anything we had hoped to do has had to be rescheduled. I wasn’t feeling great last weekend and was completely exhausted, so didn’t go the church on Sunday – I didn’t miss a Sunday even when I was on annual leave a few weeks ago, so decided I needed a break to rest.
We got up this morning to find the pressure in our water was very low, with just a dribble of water coming through all our taps. It turned out there was a burst water pipe just at the end of our street, so Scottish Water turned up to dig up the road to allow them to repair the burst pipe – we had little or no water at all from about 7am (when we noticed the issue), until about 5.30pm. It gave us a good excuse to get lunch and a coffee at one of our local cafes…not that we really needed an excuse!
Update on the issue I told you about last week in two blog posts (Accept what we know and don’t know and Accept what we know and don’t know…Part 2!) – Still no response!
