Had hoped for a little bit of a quieter week this week at work as it wasn’t end of sprint/start of new sprint week. It didn’t quite turn out that way though, as I didn’t get much time to do continue with my ‘real work’ – Looking at/trying out changes to improve how we use Azure DevOps, and our processes. I did manage to progress that work a little further but not as much as I had hoped.
It seemed like a long working week again, when actually it should have felt like a shorter week, as I was off on Thursday – I had a couple of appointments so decided it would be easier just to take the full day off. It was an added chance for a lie in in the morning (always a positive!), and then the chance to relax for an hour or two between appointments was also good. Unfortunately it was then back to work on Friday, but just for one day before it was the weekend! 🙂
As we finally had a dry day yesterday (Friday), I finally was able to get some washing done and out on the line to dry – It makes such a difference, doesn’t it? After finishing work, I decided it would be a good idea to do some gardening as some of the bushes and plants in the front garden had grown substantially in the last few weeks, and were in great need to being trimmed, but because it has been wet most evenings I’ve not been able to do any gardening. My next door neighbours had the same idea, so it was good to have a blether with them, while we both worked to tidy-up our gardens. Happy with my evening’s work, as from the sofa in our living room I can now see out again! Result!
Update on the issue I told you about a couple of weeks ago in two blog posts (Accept what we know and don’t know and Accept what we know and don’t know…Part 2!) – Still no response! That tells me the person in question is dismissing my alternative solution, and in turn tells me they do not understand the potential serious consequences of what they want to do, if it goes wrong. Not only has the person tried to tell me how to write an online post, but the process they want to use in the future could put our online users at risk, and they don’t seem to care the damage that could potentially cause, despite me telling them! I am going to to my best not to let that happen, but ultimately I may need to seriously consider my future involvement if they get their way.
I have had a chat with someone else about this situation, and they completely agree with all I’ve said, and understand my concerns about my involvement in this. They encouraged me not to give up my integrity over this! Wise and encouraging words.
