Just a single word

Sometimes when life isn’t going as you’d hoped, we can sometimes find we have no words to pray – maybe you have health concerns for yourself or a loved one; financial worries; anxiety or depression; or some other circumstances that cause you to feel defeated.

Even if we utter words such as “tired, weary, collapsed, heavy, sad, defeated”, just as an outpouring from our soul, rather than as words of prayer, God understands and can help lighten the burdens on your soul, just as it says in Isaiah 40:29.

God gives power to the faint, and to those who have no might, he increases strength.

Isaiah 40:29

These words are great news for anyone whose spirits are deflated.

This is totally backed-up by Psalm 72:12 where we’re told God will deliver to those who cry out in need…even if that cry is sometimes just a whimper.

He will deliver the needy who cry out, the afflicted who have no one to help.

Psalm 72:12

Take everything to God in prayer, even if all you can manage is one word, because God answers when we call!
