Earlier today on Bellshill Salvation Army Band’s Facebook page I shared some devotions. I’d like to share those devotions with you tonight.
After a break for summer, it’s time for our band practices to restart again tonight. It’s also time for our #WednesdayDevotions to restart! We hope you find blessing and challenge as you read the devotions we will share each Wednesday.
We hope you have had a fantastic summer, and managed to get some time to relax and spend time with family and friends.
While enjoying the summer break, and time away from our normal day-to-day activities, did you take time away from God as well, or did you take time to focus on God and re-assess your relationship with him? For me, I’ve found some of the words of the song ‘Refiner’s Fire’ have helped me remember in the last few weeks that my heart’s desire is, to be holy.
Refiner's fire My heart's one desire Is to be holy Set apart for You, Lord I choose to be holy Set apart for You, my Master Ready to do Your will
I pray that we may each reaffirm our desire to be holy, and to be ready to do whatever God asks of us in these coming days.
Here’s Melbourne Staff Band playing ‘Refiner’s Fire’ from their CD ‘Battle Ready’.
