Earlier today on Bellshill Salvation Army Band’s Facebook page I shared some devotions. I’d like to share those devotions with you tonight.
The words we find in Isaiah 41:10, are words I’m sure many of us think of when we face difficult or challenging situations in life.
So don’t be afraid. I am here, with you;
Isaiah 41:10 (The Voice)
don’t be dismayed, for I am your God.
I will strengthen you, help you.
I am here with My right hand to make right and to hold you up.
These are words of assurance from God, that no matter what happens, His is with us, and will guide us through through those difficult times. All because our future is in His hands.
In these situations, maybe it’s the words of a song or a melody that come to your mind to reassure you – Maybe words such as those of Stanley Ditmer.
I’m in His hands, I’m in His hands;
Whate’er the future holds, I’m in His hands;
The days I cannot see have all been planned for me;
His way is best, you see; I’m in His hands.
These are words we usually sing in a devotional context, but there is an arrangement by Sam Creamer, in which he presents this song in a bolder more victorious style that we may find helps us focus on the joy we feel when we are simply held in God’s love.
No matter what challenges we may face, we must always put our trust in God, because he knows what he’s doing, and his way is best.
