I have questions

Earlier today on Bellshill Salvation Army Band’s Facebook page I shared some devotions. I’d like to share those devotions with you tonight.

It can be draining when someone continually asks lots of questions, can’t it?

I wonder how God feels when we question his love for us, or questions what he asks us to do, or when we ask why when bad things happen?

I've had questions without answers
I've known sorrow, I have known pain
But there's one thing that I cling to
You are faithful, Jesus You're true

Life can be difficult when we’re finding life challenging, and struggling to see a positive future for yourself, who better to turn to than God. In fact, whether you have questions about life in general, problems with life, or feel life is getting on top of you, God is the the one to turn to. He alone can give you direction and guidance which always has your best interests at heart.

When hope is lost
I call You Saviour
When pain surrounds
I call You Healer
When silence falls
You'll be the song within my heart

These are the times it can be incredibly difficult to actually find the words to pray. Sometimes, instead of praying all we can do is cry, but that is ok, because He sees our tears and knows what’s in our heart.

You’ve kept track of my every toss and turn
    through the sleepless nights,
Each tear entered in your ledger,
each ache written in your book.

Psalm 56:8 (The Message)

One of my favourite song is ‘When the Tears Fall’ by Tim Hughes, and the words fit perfectly with my thoughts today. I hope you find comfort and blessing as you listen to the song.
