Really busy week this last week, again – between work, band and other things this week it’s been pretty full on.
It was end of sprint/start of new sprint week, and that is always busy with the various agile ceremonies, and trying to plan our sprint goals for the new sprint and preparing for the sprint review session. As I was so busy this week I got the Ok to cancel the sprint review session this week and instead just sent out the sprint review and new sprint goals documentation to those normally invited to the sprint review session. That definitely helped a bit this week, as it was only yesterday (Friday) that I was able to complete this documentation.
Spent a lot of time organising tasks and buddy sessions for our modern apprentices this week, as well as spending time with them myself to give them an overview of some of the project management work I do, and also giving them a high level overview of Azure DevOps and how we currently use DevOps boards. I’m delighted with the progress our MAs are making and how well they seem to be picking up and understanding the all they’ve been asked to do so far.
Over and above this the team have been making good progress with our project work, and we have made a few break-throughs in a couple of areas in the last couple of days which is great news.
As well as these work related this week, I’ve had the usual #WednesdayDevotions to write for our band (Bellshill Salvation Army Band) Facebook/website. It was also my turn to do the devotions at our band practice on Wednesday night as well, so I had to pull my thoughts together for that also.
There’s also various other things impacting on on my week these days, making this last week not only extra busy, but at times stressful. Good news is next week is just a 4 day working week for me as I’m off on Monday!
