My week in review – week #40 2023

A four day working week for me this last week, as I had taken the day off as we were meant to be out last Sunday evening, so took Monday off so had a chance to rest after a busy Sunday at our Sunday church service and then out with the band straight after that, before then being out at night. We ended up not going out last Sunday night, but was still good to have a ‘rest day’ on Monday.

Bust week at work again. Continuing to organising tasks and buddy sessions for our modern apprentices this week, as well as spending time with them myself to give them an overview of some of the project management work I do, and also giving them a high level overview of Azure DevOps and how we currently use DevOps boards. I’m delighted with the progress our MAs are making and how well they seem to be picking up and understanding the all they’ve been asked to do so far. We are aiming to start getting them to review/understand and review an app that was built over a year ago, but not completed due to higher priority project work, with the aim to getting them documenting and completing development of the full Dynamics app.

My week took a turn for the worse on Wednesday when, after feeling quite cold on Wednesday morning, I started to feel really rotten in the afternoon. This resulted in me not going to band practice on Wednesday night. On Thursday my husband also started to feel unwell, but thankfully all Covid tests are still coming back negative. So hopefully just a cold/flu bug we’ve got which we can bother shake off soon.

There’s also various other things impacting on my weeks these days, making life a bit stressful/challenging these days. Busy week next week again as it’s end of sprint, start of new start week which always makes it challenging.
