Very busy weekend with Bellshill Salvation Army Band last weekend as it was our centenary weekend. Our guest for the weekend was Bandmaster Dr Howard Evans (Boscombe). It was an amazing weekend from start to finish – we had rehearsals on Saturday morning and afternoon led by Howard, and then our centenary diner at Radstone Hotel when both retired and current members of the band enjoyed a lovely meal. On the Sunday Howard led us in worship in the morning and led the band in an centenary celebration concert in the early afternoon.
I’m not going to say any more about last weekend here, as I’ve already written the reports of the weekend for the band social media platforms – you can find the reports here:

We had a great weekend under Howard’s leadership both musically and spiritually. Thank you Howard.
I was so glad I’d taken a few days off this week as after an extra busy weekend I needed to rest. It was the right decision.
While I was off we managed to finally go and try out a new local restaurant and had a lovely breakfast there. Not the cheapest, but it was nice for a change, so we will be back sometime…maybe for lunch or sometime in a few weeks when it is then going to be open for dinner too.
I returned to work later this week as I had a training course I needed to attend. I managed to get through all my emails and message following the course, but didn’t have time to investigate/find out more about some of the issues that had occurred while I was off – That’s a job for next week!
