Have you noticed how many who are considered to be ‘celebrities’ these days, are more concerned about their own self-image, and about owning ‘the best’ of everything that money can buy them.
I have found myself getting quite frustrated and if I’m honest, a little annoyed by many of these celebrities, as their reality seems to be becoming further and further away from the reality of life for the rest of us.
There are so many people living in poverty, trying desperately to make ends meet; having to decide whether to heat their home, or eat as they can’t afford both. How can we be living in a world in these days, where the gulf between the rich and the poor seems to be increasing rather than decreasing.
I’m not really having a go at those so-called ‘celebrities’ as many as simply leading their life in the way they were brought up, so have never known anything different. That’s why for me we need to get back to basics, and make sure we keep God front and centre in our lives.
