I’m sure we’ve all had that sinking feeling when it gets to Sunday night, when we remember tomorrow is Monday, and so we’re back at work again. This isn’t just a feeling we can get after time off work, as it can also be how we feel every Sunday night!
So how do you prepare yourself so your head is in the right place for work the next morning? What tips do you have?
I’ll plan to share some tips with you that I have picked up over the years – all are good, though some are easier to implement than others – at least they have been for me. Maybe you’ll have more joy! Good luck!
Tip #8 Review the week ahead
One of the things I always try and do on a Friday afternoon, is to look ahead to the next week, to see what meetings are already in my diary, and to note things I need to prepare for. Then when it comes to Monday of that week, I try to prioritise all the tasks I’ve listed, so I can try and achieve the most I can in the week.
There are often other things that come up as the week progresses, that I need to prioritise, but when that happens I add the new tasks to my list, and then reprioritise my tasks again.
It’s all about making sure you plan ahead, and prioritise your tasks.
