My strength

Has anyone ever told you that they admire your strength, or that they don’t know how you’ve find the strength to do all you do each day. Whatever you’re doing that makes others comment on the strength that you show, are you really doing it in your own strength?

Sometimes it takes recognising our own weaknesses, to show real strength. In 1 Corinthians 1:24 the cross is described as the ‘power of God’. Acknowledging our weaknesses is how we receive God’s power, and we can only do that by kneeling at the cross.

When we confess our sins at the foot of the cross, God forgives us; when we humble ourself before God, He lifts us up; when we give him all our worries and weaknesses, he gives us the strength we need. This is the power of God.
