Summer?

I look out the window again today and wonder again, Is this really summer?

For the last few years I’ve taken a couple of weeks annual leave from work in July or August, and have been very lucky with the weather in the two weeks I’ve been off work. The same definitely can’t be said of my annual leave this year, so far!

Monday this weeks was quite nice with the sun shining I was able to get some much needed gardening done, and got several loads of washing out on the washing line. But then Tuesday was back to the breezy rainy weather again. i.e. Miserable weather. Today at least has been dry most of the time, but still. grey and overcast. It really doesn’t entice anyone to venture far when the weather is so unpredictable, does it?

I really shouldn’t complain should I as I have been extremely lucky the last 2 or 3 years to have had the best of the summer weather when I’ve been on leave, so it’s probably fair it looks like I’m not getting summer weather this year. It would be good though if we could at least get a few warm dry days where it doesn’t look like it’s going to rain all the time.

Anyway, we’ll probably be venture out a few places over the next few days….but maybe somewhere where we can shelter from the weather if it’s still wet. The main thing for me just now is just getting the chance to physically rest as I have felt totally exhausted for the last month or two.
