So much of life these days is measured by how successful we are – Here’s just a few:
- Status at work – have we been promoted to the highest position?
- House and possessions – do we have the biggest house and own the biggest and newest things?
- Friends – are we popular and part of a large friendship group?
But are these really how we should be measuring how successful our life has been, especially if we’re Christians? This is re-enforced by the following quotes from Nicky Gumbel:
God gives us the knowledge, tools and opportunities we need to do all he wants us to do. Therefore if we follow God’s plan for our lives, isn’t that how we should be measuring how successful our lives are?
