Earlier today on Bellshill Salvation Army Band’s Facebook page I shared some devotions. I’d like to share those devotions with you tonight.
After a break for summer, it’s time for our band practices to start again tonight. It’s also time for our #WednesdayDevotions to restart! We hope you find blessing and challenge as you read the devotions we will share today, and each Wednesday.
We hope you have had a fantastic summer, and were able to spend some time relaxing with your family and friends.
While enjoying the summer break, and time away from our normal day-to-day activities, did you also take time away from God? It can be very easy when not in our usual day-to-day routine to also take time away from God, to neglect to spend quiet time each day with God.
Even if you have spent time away from God over the summer break, I encourage you to reaffirm your commitment to Him today as we get back into our daily activities. Don’t let your relationship with God just be something you do as part of your routine, but let it be something you do because you want to.
I’ve found a particular song in my thoughts in this last week – Words which we can use today to reaffirm our commitment to serve God in these coming days.
Here am I, my Lord,
Send me, send me.
I am wanting to be
What you want me to be.
Use me when and wherever
And how you best see,
Here am I, my Lord,
Send me!
