Mental health Monday #3

If we cut ourselves or break a bone, it takes time for our wound or broken bone to heal. Just as our physical injuries take time to heal, so do our emotional and psychological injuries. We must therefore be patient and not expect ourselves to recover quickly from any struggles we face, instead, we must accept they will take time.

When we’re struggling, regardless of the reason, it is very true that a problem shared is a problem halved. In difficult times we can all find it hard to ask anyone for help. However, I can confirm that once you take that bold step and reach out to a friend or family member for support, it will help – Even if all they offer is a hug or just listen to your anxieties, you’ll find it a great source of comfort, and strength.
