Mental health Monday #9

We can all be taken by surprise when first realise we’re experiencing a mental health crisis. One thing that we may also think at that time is that we’re the only person in the world who is or who has ever experienced mental health struggles.

We couldn’t be more wrong! In fact you may well be surprised just how many people around you have also experienced mental health struggles at least once in their life. It is much more common than you probably think.

One think that is key to remember when you are experiencing mental health struggles is to talk to someone about it – a friend, a family member, your doctor or a counsellor. Talking really does help.
