In pursuit

Whenever we feel as if God’s forgotten us, we should remind ourselves of Psalm 23:6.

Surely your goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.

Psalm 23:6

In Hebrew, the verb “follow” actually means to pursue with great energy, so if you read Psalm 23 again remembering this, we’re told that God is actually pursuing us. He’s pursuing us to tell us that all things can be ours, when we accept Christ is our Saviour, and we give our lives to Him.

God’s goodness and mercy are pursuing us at high-speed to remind us that everything we could want I can be ours through Christ.
