On this Valentine’s Day, I hope you received all you hoped for from your ‘other half’ – Maybe you were surprised by the elaborate plans they had made to make your day special, or maybe they went for something more traditional such as red roses or chocolates.
Hopefully you didn’t get to the end of today wondering why your ‘other half’ didn’t give you a gift, or gave you a gift that didn’t meet your expectations.
Then again maybe you received no gift, but that was exactly what you expected and what you wanted as you both acknowledge the over-commercialisation of Valentine’s Day, and so agree to not buys cards or gifts for one another.
Whether you got a gift from your other half or not, today is about acknowledging our love for that special someone in our lives. So I hope you had a day where you acknowledged your love for your other half, and vice-versa.
