Would you agree that the world is currently in a bit of a state? so many situation seem to exist because one group or nation express extreme hatred of another. Love couldn’t be much further away in many of these situations. This must make God so sad.
Whoever claims to love God yet hates a brother or sister is a liar.
1 John 4:20
How do we get to a point of truly hating anyone or anything? Hatred can occur when we simply stop caring about someone; when we stop caring about what is good from someone. Sadly hatred can range from distain, disinterest in someone, all the way to which them physical harm.
We just need to watch the news to hear statements from people wishing harm on others because their beliefs of any kind, are different – lifestyle, politics, religion and even sports! That is definitely not showing love to our fellow man, it’s far more serious than that as it’s hatred.
I pray today that although we may sometimes disagree with others beliefs or choices in life, that we may continue to always show them love.
