Lift your eyes and look to the heavens: Who created all these? He who brings out the starry host one by one, and calls them each by name. Because of his great power and mighty strength, not one of them is missing.
Isaiah 40:26 (NIV)
When was the last time at night, you looked up to evening sky, and really saw the beauty in all the bright flickering stars? If you’ve not done that for a while, I’d encourage you to do that tonight.
Look up and see all the stars, and remember that God made each one of those stars individually. We may be struck by the numerous stars we can see with the naked eye, but consider just how many stars we can see if we were to look through Galileo’s telescope! – It gives us computer-enhanced telescopic images of many more billions of galaxies than we could ever imagine. There are so many that there are far too many for us to count.
All the same, God made each one of those stars; he made each one individually and named each one – Sound familiar?
Yes, just as God cares about each star and names each one individually so he has made each one of us individually and he knows us by name. So if God can remember each of us by name, he. will also know everything about us, good and bad. Anyone that takes the time to know us better than we know ourselves, is worth knowing aren’t they? He cares for us and will do all he can to guide us along his path, just as he guides each of the stars in the sky.
The stars were individually made by God, and so are we – He therefore cares about everything we do.
