The world is in turmoil. There’s war, fighting, displacement, natural disasters, political unrest to name just a few of the events the world is facing just now.
There’s so many people around the world that have had to leave their homes, and leave everything they posses behind them, just to try and find a place of safety.
Where is the love and compassion? There are of course many who will do all they can to show love and compassion to everyone. Unfortunately there are also some who would consider it wrong to help those in need. We need this world to become a world full of loving compassionate people – a world where everyone cares for their fellow humans, and that starts with you and me showing love and compassion where we are. Time to start that today!
Sara Bareilles wrote a song called ‘Safe Place to Land’ that talks about the sad experiences and emotions that refugees may experience. It also shares hope that there will be someone on the ‘other side’ that reaches out and shows them ‘a safe place to land’.
