Ever come across people who pretend they are better and more capable than everyone else?
Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit.
Philippians 2:3
We’re reminded in this bible verse that we should not be conceited about anything, or do anything just for your own gain. Therefore those who pretend to be better than everyone else, are doing so without anyone else’s help, or God’s help.
If we are true Christians, we should be careful we don’t get caught up believing we can ‘make it’ on our own. Others may try to persuade us we don’t need God to be the best person we can be, but just remember Jesus – he came to serve as one of us, in a humble way so that others would come to know His glory because of who he is.
Be like Jesus, humble and a true servant of God.
