Is it Friday yet?

For some this week was just a 4 day working week as Monday was a bank holiday. For me and many others though, it was just another 5 day working week, as we no longer get the Monday bank holiday as one of our statutory days leave – we can of course take annual leave on the Monday if we want the day off.

As I said, this week was a 5 day working week for me, and boy did it feel like at least a 5 day working week! I think the fact this was a week I was working in the office 2 days this week and just 3 from home, helped make the week longer – I tend to be in the office early on days I’m in the office, mainly so I miss the worst of the morning traffic, and get parked in our car park, as it fills up very early.

It’s been a busy week at work with a lot of things going on, and lots of tasks to to do, and of course, they are all needed now or as soon as.

There’s nothing worse than being stuck in an office (whether that’s in our actual office building, or our home office), especially when we have good weather – we haven’t had a a lot of consecutive warm sunny days here for at least a couple of summers. we’ve often had conversations in the office that when we have good warm sunny weather, we should automatically get the day off – Very optimistic I think as there’s no chance we’ll ever get a day off just because we have good weather!

Let hope now we’ve got to the end of the working week that the weather continues to be warm and sunny…and I believe it is supposed to be just that!

Hopefully I’ll get the chance to enjoy some of the good weather over the weekend, before it’s back to work again on Monday for another full-on week at work.

Enjoy your weekend!
