I just spent an hour searching for notebook in which I was sure I’d written some details of something that I now needed.
I turn drawers out, looked under things, on top of wardrobes. After failing to find the required notebook after my first round of searching, I then went for round 2 of my search. This time I looked in a few places where I didn’t look the first time, as I was 100% sure the notebook wouldn’t be there…guess what, the notebook was in one of the places I didn’t look during my first round of searching!
Isn’t it always the way that when we’re searching for something, we nearly always find it ‘right under our noses’, meaning we fail to see it for a while.
Our faith can be a bit like that at times, particularly when we’re going through difficult times – we can keep plodding on, trying to ‘get-by’ on our own, ignoring the fact that God is right there with us if we just reach out to Him. God is always with us, through whatever life throws our way. He’s ‘right under our nose’ yet we can be guilty of ignoring Him, when in fact that’s the time we need Him more than ever.
However you’re feeling, whatever you’re going through, God is right there with you. So don’t keep trying to get by on your own, instead reach out to Him and let him take you by the hand, and lead you through your struggles. Believe that God is the answer to whatever you are searching for.
