I came across the following image a couple of weeks ago. It really gave me the reminder I needed that there really is nothing I can sacrifice that will be comparable to the sacrifice that Jesus made when he died at Calvary.
Can you imagine ever being in a situation where you have to give the ultimate sacrifice of your life, just to save someone else?
It really doesn’t bear thinking about does it? But that’s exactly what Jesus did for you and for me. He gave the ultimate sacrifice for us.
Even although I have known this for many years, and been a Christian for many years, it still blows my mind when I think about this, especially from God’s perspective – He sent his only son to earth in the knowledge that he would ultimately have to die to save us all. Wow!
