The title of today’s blog post may sounds like a daft title for a blog post, as isn’y the night always dark?!
Some children from a very young age are scared of the darkness that envelopes the night, and so require a night light to be left on in their room to cast a little light around their room, so the night doesn’t seem quite so scary.
I don’t know for certain, but I would imagine, as we grow up we lose our fear of the darkness at night time. There are those though, that even as adults still find themselves dreading the darkness of night – Those who are struggling with mental health issues, anxiety or emotional issues, may find the darkness of night time a time when their darkest thought surface and try to consume them. For them, the darkness of night is not a place they welcome.
Let’s be honest the world today is full of people who are struggling with darkness in their lives, struggling to see hope and light in the future. Let’s help them see that darkness is not the end of hope, but that even in the darkness there is always hope when that first minute speck of light breaks through the darkness.
