There are days when life feels like too much. The calendar is full, the heart is heavy, and the soul feels stretched thin. In those moments, we stand at a crossroads, not of circumstances, but of choice. What will we choose when the waves rise and the wind howls?
Jesus never promised a life free from trouble, but He did make this promise.
In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.
John 16:33
Feeling overwhelmed does not mean you have failed – instead, think of it as an invitation to lean His into grace – to choose surrender over striving while remembering that we are not alone, because God is always with us.
So how do we overcome those feelings that life is overwhelming us?
Be still, and know that I am God.
Psalm 46:10
Being still is not inactivity, it’s trust. It’s the choice to stop trying to fix everything and instead rest in the One who holds everything.
In the stillness, we hear His whisper: “I am with you.”
