Another week is behind you. The meetings, the errands, the unexpected twists. You showed up. You gave what you could. You carried more than most will ever know. And now… it’s Friday evening.
So let this be your permission to breathe out.
You don’t have to solve anything tonight. You don’t have to plan or push or prove. You can simply be. Because rest isn’t laziness, it’s sacred. It’s the rhythm God built into creation. After six days of work, He paused. Not because He was tired, but because He was finished.
Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.
Matthew 11:28
So pour out your heart to the Lord. Let Him hold the pieces. Let Him refill what’s been poured out. Let Him remind you that you are loved, not for what you do, but for who you are.
Tonight, light a candle. Play a song. Let peace settle in like a soft blanket. You’re not alone. You’re not forgotten. You’re held.
A beautiful song to end your week is one I shared last week called ‘Come Just As You Are’. In this song, God invites us to simply come to Him.
Come just as you are, hear the Spirit call…
Let these words be your invitation to rest, reflect, and receive from God.
