A month in a week

Another week has come and gone.

The calendar says seven days have passed, but it feels like we’ve lived a month in just one! Tasks, conversations, appointments, unexpected events, all packed into our daily life. Now as the week comes to an end, we find ourselves tired, exhausted, maybe a little frayed, but still standing.

There’s something comforting about finishing something we’ve started – Not necessarily perfecting, or conquering – just finishing, and that applies to each week that we get through. It means we showed up, we did what we could, and we carried those burdens that were ours to carry.

Even if the week didn’t go as planned, even if some things were left undone, we still made it through the week – that in itself is grace.

God doesn’t ask us to be perfect, He asks for faithfulness. if we’ve been faithful in our work, our relationships, our prayers, then this week has been a success in His eyes.

Before rushing into your next thing, take a moment to pause. Let the silence settle around you, and let your soul catch up with your body.

Ask yourself:

  • What did I learn this week?
  • Where did I see God at work?
  • What do I need to release before stepping into rest?

This pause is not laziness, it’s holy. It’s where we remember that we are not machines, but are children of God, invited to rest in His presence.

If the week was heavy, you are not alone. If it was joyful, give thanks. If it was a mix of both, welcome to the complexity of life.

Whatever you’re carrying, lay it down now. Let grace hold you. Let peace find you.

You’ve done enough, because you are enough.
