Stronger than we realise Part 2: The strength of becoming

The final forming of a person’s character lies in their own hands.

Anne Frank

This quote reminds us that who we become is shaped not by accident, but by intention.

In faith terms, it’s the daily invitation to co-operate with the Spirit’s work in us. God forms us and invites us to participate: To choose kindness, forgiveness, and obedience, even when it’s costly.

Character isn’t built in grand moments. It’s formed in the quiet, unseen decisions of ordinary days.

If you’re longing to grow, take heart. Every small choice is shaping you into someone more Christ-like, more courageous, more whole.

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control.

Galatians 5:22-23 (NIV)

The song ‘Refiner’ by Maverick City Music is a great song. It reminds us that we must surrender to God to allow us to growth, so He can shape who we become.
