Strength for a new week

Today, I’ve been reminded of simple but powerful thought from Helen Keller, who knew more about courage than most of us ever will:

It’s very reassuring, isn’t it? Keller didn’t deny hardship; she named it honestly. But she also insisted that the human story is not defined by struggle, it’s defined by overcoming. By resilience. By the quiet, persistent strength that rises again and again, even when no-one is watching.

As we step into another new week, we must carry that truth with us. Whatever challenges wait on the other side of Monday morning, they do not get the final word, because we have already overcome more than we ever give ourselves credit for. We have already walked through storms that once felt impossible. And we’re still here — still growing, still learning, still becoming.

Let tonight be a gentle reminder that strength doesn’t always roar. Sometimes it whispers, “Try again tomorrow.”

I pray that your Sunday evening be peaceful, and your week begin with courage that feels both steady and kind.
