Today is all about the word ‘time’

Time is a funny companion, isn’t it?

Time seems to slip through our fingers on the days when we wish it would slow down.

Time stretches itself endlessly on the days when we’re tired, waiting, or simply longing for the evening to arrive.

Time has this baffling ability to feel completely different depending on our mood, our pace, or the weight we’re carrying.

Time can make a joyful day feel like it lasted only a heartbeat.

Time can make a difficult day feel like it’s dragging its feet through thick mud.

Time often leaves us wondering how morning became night in what feels like a blink.

Time also leaves us staring at the clock, convinced it must surely be broken because the minutes refuse to move.

Time has always been confusing like that.

Time was something Mum used to talk about with a knowing smile.

Time, she said, goes faster as you get older.

Time, I thought back then, was just being dramatic.

Time, I now realise, proved her right in the gentlest, truest way.

Time seems to gather speed with every passing year, as if life itself is nudging us forward.

Time reminds us that the days we treasure will always feel too short.

Time reminds us that the slow days won’t last forever either.

Time teaches us—quietly, persistently—that every moment matters more than we think.

Time keeps moving, whether we’re ready or not.

Time invites us to notice it, appreciate it, and live within it rather than racing against it.

Time, today, feels worth pausing for.
